Hello all! thank you Rachel for letting me on this sight. I am 10 years old and I cover as well. I have 1 dog,7 cats, 2 snails, and a brother, a mother, and a father. I started covering 3-4 months back. My family homeschools and we go to a co-op. there is a Mennontie family in the co-op. I talked to the mothe about covering. I felt covering was right for me. How do you feel about covering? Question

Hi Jordyn! It's great to have you here. This actually makes a grand total of TWO people registered.

Before I say anything else, can I ask that you write about yourself again under 'introduce yourself here'?

Anyway... wow, seven cats? That's a lot! Did you have one or two plus kittens or something? And snails. They're interesting pets. What do you have to do to look after snails? What do you feed them? Sorry, too much curiosity here.

Well, my family doesn't really homeschool although my mother now says that if she could go back ten years she definately would homeschool my sister and I. I switched to a combination of SOTA (School of the Air) and homeschooling at the beginning of last year (the school year starts at the end of January here) and I go to a homeschooling group because there are lots of homeschooling families in my area (we moved here about a year ago). But my sister still goes to school.

Most of the people in the homeschooling group are Christian and generally fairly conservative (several families are skirts-only for girls) but I'm the only headcovering person there. I'm not sure there are any Mennonites even in Australia... I know there's a Hutterite colony in Tasmania and in Western Australia but I've never been to either of those states and I doubt I ever will. It's great that you can talk to this family!

Well, as you can probably tell from the fact that I wear a headcovering, I feel headcovering is right for me, too. I believe that Christian women/girls are meant to wear one when they pray (and also Christians are meant to pray continually, so basically that means we shuold wear the headcovering all the time). My mother and sister don't agree with me and although I think they should, I'm not going to force it on them. My father says the same as me.

It's great to meet you! I don't actually know any headcovering Christians except those over on Headcovering Baptists forum. And everyone there is old. Except for you now you've joined I guess.

Anyway, I feel I need to thank you a lot for joining! I was beginning to worry that no-one ever would.

    Thanks, again, from Rachel.

What you feed them is lettuce and cabbage. They just drink water. They are very lazy, and go REALLY slow.
