Ways you can encourage people Empty Ways you can encourage people

I was thinking on ways I try to encourage people. I thought it might me nice to share them with you. I hope you like them and use them. :-)

.Send that person an e-card! When a family member is down, and e-card can lift their spirits! Here is a site with a whole bunch of encouraging e-cards!
    http://www.crosscards.com/

.Call that person after they get home from work. If they don't work, then just call! Tell them about your day so far, interesting things you learned at school, or ask them about their day. If it sounds like they had a bad day, then say something encouraging.

.E-mail them, telling them how much you love them. Tell them what a good person they are.

. Bake them cookies! Almost everyone likes cookies. Before you put the cookies in the pan to give it to the person, put a encouraging note in the bottom. When they get done, it will be there to encourage them!

I hope you like my ideas!

These are all good ideas, Jordyn!

I think I like the cookies one best, but unfortunately lots of the people I know have allergies! Somtimes it's hard to make cookies for them, like the people who can't have gluten (try making cookies without flour!), dairy (or milk!), sugar, chocolate, or eggs.

Yesterday morning I make shortbreads to take into the homeschooling group in the afternoon. Unfortunately I got a little carried away and put food colouring in (half were apple-flavoured and half were lemon-flavoured, and I needed a way to tell them apart). The looks they got were interesting, especially the bright green apple ones. Some people wouldn't eat them just because of the colour! (And some people ate them simply because of the colour!)

Anyway, I think I good way to encourage people is to tell them what they're good at. A lot of the time people think they're really bad at everything and they don't see the things they're really good at.

Also, do little things to help people. If your mum is really busy, for example, offer to chop up the vegetables for tea, or fold the washing, or something.

And, if you know someone who's mother is sick, by no means give them a casserole! Seriously, you get far too many casseroles in that situation! Stick with the cookies...

    From Rachel.

Oh... 'tea' for me means 'dinner'. We do have 'tea' which is leaves and herbs and stuff soaked in warm water... but there aren't vegetables in it. Just to clear that up.

I am curious, what is it about your aunt being in Missouri which means they specifically need prayer? Have I missed some current events thing? I'll pray all the same, but I don't know what about...

Well, my aunt has a disease that makes her think shes fat when shes too thin. She wouldn't eat for a long time, or she would take something to work and act like she would eat it then when she got there, she would throw it away. So, her insurnance is only paying for a week, the we will see what they say about the rest. Please pray!

Yes, I will be praying! And the disease is called 'anorexia', by the way.
